How Do I. . . PICTURE POSTING DIRECTIONS 101

What is a WEBSITE where I can upload pics for free that WILL SHOW on GC?!!?!?!?!?

My prom pic was loaded to Yahoo Photos and that did not work. Webshots no longer works either.

Help a sista or 2 out. 'Preciate it.

CT4, open an account with picture trail. On the main page, once you've uploaded your pics, go to 'more options' and it gives you an address to copy to post pictures on ebay and other sites. Hope it works for you.

All right for those of you who have never posted a picture and need to know how, here are the steps. I would suggest practicing first and previewing your reply before submitting,

1. Find a pic :p
2. Right click on the pic
3. Click on PROPERTIES
4. After clicking on PROPERTIES, look for the ADDRESS (http)
5. Copy and paste said address
6. Come back to GC
7. Open up reply box
8. You can CLICK ON IMG square RIGHT BELOW the TITLE box, under SIZE OR you can type the following but ELIMINATE the SPACES -- [ IMG ]http://www.boners.com/content/789162.1.jpg[ /IMG ]

If it works you should see a pic, if not TRY AGAIN. Rome was not built in a day. PRACTICE makes perfect.

The site that I use the most for my "picture locker"...that's free and very user friendly...is www.seemesmile.com . I often upload my pix there that I end up using on my LiveJournal and on here. PictureTrail's good too!

All you have to do is sign up and they have albums you can create to organize your pictures. After you do that, just follow the instructions in CT4's post. This site allows you to upload 10 pictures at a time.

The URLs are short, so they won't take up space when you need to input HTML codes, unlike those MSN albums. They're just like PictureTrail, others are allowed to see your picture online.

You could probably do one of two things:

1. Right click on the pic and theen look at its' properties. If the pic is off of the web it should give you a website address.

OR

2. Sign up for a free online photo album. There are posts in this thread that give some ideas of where to go. Then you can save the pic on your computer and then upload the pic to the online album.

For those of you who posted your own pic, used Picture Trail, and it is no longer showing, here's why: You used the 30 day IMG code for your pic.

You can have your pic show forever and here is how:

1. Go to PICTURETRAIL.com
2. Log in to your account
3. On the right hand margin, click on MORE OPTIONS
4. Click on IMAGE URLS
5. Select which ever album your pic is in
6. The code that is under the pic is the PERMANENT CODE, C&P that into GC and we will see your pics again forever.


If I posted your pic or linked it for you, you should be good to go.
