The snow fall DC/PH/NJ/VA, etc. is getting is no joke. It constitutes a blizzard and is very dangerous. So please eveyone in those areas, please stay in, and don't try to go out not even if you have a 4X4. If you don't have a snow blower, shovel in layers and be careful of your back. Yes, even you younguns!!!!

prospectiverushee,
You can come right on up to Syracuse where it has been snowing for like the past week. Besides the snow, wind chill is also in effect making it for what seems like the Coldest Winter Ever.
While we aren't snowed in, I have tomorrow off since I work for the gov. but I still have class tomorrow night. :(
I'm counting down the days until March 1st when I leave for FLORIDA!!!! :D :D

I'm in the new england area and I swear just 30 minutes ago there was no snow, now, it's coming down like crazy!!! It must have snowed like every other day since November. This is OUT OF ORDER!!!! I'm originally from Chicago so it's not like I don't know what snow is but this is ridiculous!!!! And to make matters worse, I have to come in tomorrow night!!!!!! We've had a lot of snow for this area this winter. I need sunshine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, I just heard on the news that there is supposed to be a big snowstorm heading our way. It's supposed to bring about 12-13 inches of snow. So now, I have the Cha-Cha Slide playing on the radio and that is my snow dance that I'm doing to bring about snow because I don't want to go to school on Monday. Right now, it's really windy and cold and there are some snow flakes falling. Maybe if I do it a few more times the storm will come :p We haven't had a snow day all winter and it's about time for one!!:D

This morning here in NC there was a TORNADO WATCH. I talked to my mom yesterday and she told me bad weather is headed to both Ohio and NC this week. Just as long as MADEA is not cancelled on Saturday, it is ALL GOOD. Wonder what the weather will be like in CHI this week, my mom is travelling there for work and she has never been. :D

Guurllll, you don't know that song? If you know enough people in New Jersey or New York who listens to house music (I was a bit of a connoisseur myself - LOL), someone should be able to let you listen to the song. That was the jam back in the day!!!!

A really big snow storm is heading our way and it's supposed to hit late tonight (when my shift's just starting) or early tomorrow morning. I hope the principal at my son's school actually heed what the weatherman says this time!! A big storm hit 2 weeks ago and like that morning the weatherman said that it was going to snow and that it would get worse as the day progresses. HC by 10:00 that morning, you couldn't see 2 feet in front of you ?? THEN they get on TV telling parents that they can come and get their children?? Two words for you, CT4, when you do get to Cleveland:
BUNDLE UP!!!
It's gonna be good 'n cold when you get there, temps will be no higher than 15 degrees until Sunday.
In other weather:
Here in Columbus, we got hit with EVERYTHING from snow to sleet to freezing rain. Most of the freezing rain fell during the night, so there is about an inch of ice on top of 2-5 inches of snow, depending on where you live in the city.
Where I actually live (outside the 270 outer belt, southeast of Columbus), we actually got less snow and more freezing rain; about 2-3 inches of actual snow, and about an inch of freezing rain/sleet.
Currently, the snow has now passed by, and it has cleared up, but temps (currently low-mid 20s) are expected to fall into the teens and single digits as the day progresses and night falls on the city. This will be a concern as ice on trees and power lines could result in power outages throughout the city, as it has already in some areas (north and east Columbus is experiencing power outages in some areas (about 120,000 customers w/o power as of 9 am this morning).
Franklin County is currently under a Level 2 snow emergency (don't go out unless necessary). However, Delaware, Union, Logan, and other counties NW of Columbus is under a Level 3 snow emergency (only emergency vehicles are permitted on the roads).
But thankfully, the worst of the storm is over.

Crossing them for you. I heard we had 10 flakes fall yesterday sometime here in Charlotte. I need more than 10 flakes. :( I read on News14.com that some kids in Wake County had to spend the night at school last night because roads were so bad.

Yep, some students and staff had to stay overnight at the school. I-40 going back into Raleigh was gridlocked for hours - I'm talking it took some folks 7,8,9,10 hours to get home!!! Other major roads were gridlocked as well and the best part is that cell phone service was interrupted for a time too! All that for 1 inch of snow - so you know if we get major accumulation this part of the state is going to SHUT DOWN!

I heard about this. I gotta call my grandma (she lives just outside of Raleigh) and see how she's doing. I heard the stuff turned to ice, which is what happened when I was there when it snowed the day after Christmas too. It was beautiful, but it was cold and it got kinda icy.
Wonder about RBL too! He's in that neck of the woods.

 A foot of snow!!! I went outside to warm the car and clean it off. It didn't look that bad but whewwwwwwwww after I put that badboy in reverse. Saturday classes were cancelled, but I was on my way to campus. So, I just took a nice drive half way to campus in 4x4.:D
So later, I decided to go outside and help my brothers shovel the snow. After shoveling a nice path my younger brother snatched the shovel from me and told me “Go in the house it’s too cold.” :p I stayed outside to supervise and break dance in the snow.
 Classes better not get cancelled for Monday!
