Why the locks? I thought this is a forum where views are openly discussed. Someone new could come in and have something intelligent to say on a situation and they would have to have a whole new post.

I new at this bruh; where exactly are the locks, and how did they get there?

If I'm not mistaking, I believe only the moderator can put a "lock" on these threads. It's usually when he/she sees the thread getting "out of hand" or deems it inappropriate for further discussion. To get the exact reason that a specific thread was closed it would be best to ask the moderator directly.
