I was just wondering if you could let me know a little something. I overheard a couple of times that Alpha Phi Alpha help establish the latino fraternity Lambda Upsilon Lambda. Another thing... some of their calls and the use of old gold is the same.
Thanks for your time...

It would not surprise me, Primo. Estoy un Alpha; and I will check on it. I met our fraternity Historian in 1991, and he told me we(ALPHA PHI ALPHA) had our hands in the founding of many organizations.

Just because I obviously have too much time on my hands..... :)
I was friends with an LUL in college, and he told me that Alpha didn't help found LUL, but that we were mutually supportive of one another. LUL was founded at Cornell in 1982.
The LULs and Alphas were cool on my yard. The Alphas, LULs, and Pi Chis (also founded at Cornell, but in '88) at another school have an annual party called "Golden Explosion" because Gold is a color in all three orgs. (Black and gold; brown and gold; red, gold, black, white)
I never met an LUL or Pi Chi I didn't like....I consider them distant cousins. (Unofficially, of course. Don't wanna have the cousins debate.)
