Well, I don't know how she can say she is engaged! I heard on tv today that her marriage to Cris Judd is not final until the end of January. They (ET on MTV) also announced that they planned to get married on Valentine's Day in Puerto Rico.

I think Puff was wise not to ask her to marry him. She goes through men faster than I go through shoes! I give this new marriage until August 2002. I think that she is the new Elizabeth Taylor.

And speaking of her ring, I heard that it was 25 carats!!! :eek: Does Ben Affleck know about her past with men or can he not see past her booty? :confused:

I also saw the video and I think it sucked! :mad: The point of the song is that she hasn't changed , so why wasn't it made in the Bronx.

This will be her third marriage in four years.If you count Puffy that would make 3 serious relationships,including 2 marriages in a year and a half. She needs a serious vacation not another husband.

I agree! The divorce won't be final until around Jan. 26. Does anyone else notice somebody moving on up the ladder? Personally, I think he can do better.

I've never been married, but I couldn't see myself (espcially after my second divorce) wanting to date, let alone marry someone. She does need help. I thought she was Catholic. She must not be a practicing one. If I were a Priest, I wouldn't marry her. Does anyone know if she had a previous marriages annulled? I feel that she has some serious issues that only God and a shrink can help her figure out. I'm not against divorce, but I'm against people marrying for the wrong reasons. The good thing though, is that she's never had kids from any of her multiple relationships. That would make this whole situation worse. All things being said, she has the free will to do whatever she wants. If she wants to marry a new man every 9 months, she can go right ahead.

I think she isn't giving enough time for her relationships to flourish. But she is her own woman and only see knows whats right for her. I don't think Ben is used to all the publicity that comes with her popularity( an example seen on Making the Video, MTV)

Did anyone see the Dateline special with J. Lo and Diane Sawyer last night? I watched it. Let me just say that I think J.Lo is full of stanky boo-boo. For about 45 minutes of the hour long interview, all she said was that "I'm still Jenny from the block," "I'm really still just the same old girl from the Bronx," and "well, you know I'm from the Bronx." We get it!!! We know that you're from the Bronx. Nobody forgot!

Diane asked her about all of her marriages and relationships and how she thought her marriage with Ben would last if the other two didn't. She said something like "I've been married twice, but I've never had a real marriage." She also said that she doesn't think that she was really in love before. She was just in love with the idea of being in love. They did do many close-ups of the ring and it is downright fabulous. A 25 carat pink diamond. I probably would've said yes too.

I have said it before, and I'll say it again, Jennifer Lopez is full of it. I think that every move she has made has been a calculating step to make her even more famous. She was not the megastar that she is now, when she started dating Puffy. I think she used him to catapult her career. And, when the going got tough, Jennifer got going. Now, she's marrying Ben Affleck is to go even further.

Personally, I think that J-HO is doing this for attention and publicity. I also think that she thinks she'd be benefiting her acting career by hooking up with the "IT" actor right now. J-HO needs to see a shrink before she commits herself to yet another husband. She married C.J. to try to get her mind off of Puff the Dragonbreath Mofo so that she could be accepeted once again in the Hispanic community. Her mother NEVER liked Puff and told J-HO that if she stayed with him, she would NEVER speak to her again. I guess that she also realized that being with Puff wasn't allowing her to win over any more Latin fans. Girlie has made quite a few mistakes in her judgement recently and I'll name a few:

1. When she was filming "I'm Real" not the remix by Captain Save-a Song, but the original, she had heard about a little Black girl who had accidentally killed herself with a BB gun. J-HO's reaction and statement: "That's just like a dumb nigger." :mad:

2. At the Latin Awards a few months ago, she claimed that her music is of Latin origin, not Black origin. Now why would she say a fool thing like that when she and anyone who bought her J to tha Ho remix CD knows that most, if not the entire CD, was produced by Irv Fatti and Ja Mule!!! Are you still real J-HO? I don't think so. GITS (Get it together, Stupid!!!) :rolleyes:

That's enough ranting and raving on this subject. I sincerely hope she gets her $h!t together as far as this whole marriage thing goes and I also hope that Jenny and Benny work this out. If not, then hey, another one to mark off on the countdown to a new hubby and back to the ole drawing board.....

Unless this info came from someone who witnessed these things for themselves or from a direct link to J-Lo, I would hardly classify them as facts. I'm not a J-Lo fan per se, but I find a lot of the really ugly/nasty stuff being said about her is simply being put out there to add fuel to the already out of control fire. On another note, it's hardly a crime to be married three times and/or be in a relationship with several people back-to-back. Nor does it classify you as a ho, IMO. We're talking about four people she dated, not forty. Would I do it? No. But not everyone can be me. ;) J/K

I saw the 20/20 special and thought her comments about her dating habits seemed quite honest. She basically said she had issues and was in love with being in love. I know of women like that. Looking for love in all the wrong places... Sad, but true. It happens.

And while she may have ridden on the coat tails of P.Diddy to get herself out there, who in the entertainment business hasn't ridden someone's coat tails? People do it allllll the time, especially in the music business. They'll make it big, start their own company, and then look for their own talent to sign. That's usually what makes unknowns, known. If you hang out with celebrities, you're bound to get noticed. Isn't that kinda the point, especially if you're trying to make it in the business?

Not to be overly cynical, but isn't the entertainment business just that...a business?

What is the source for this celeb gossip? I have never heard the first one (and I would hipe the source is credible for it to be spread out there. It sould like Tommy Hilfiger doesn't lik n****s wearing his vclothes myth to me) and I have read statements from J-Ho's camp denying the second one altogether.

As far as the two mistakes in judgement she made that I posted, I heard them both from the radio and from my mother, who confirmed the first one. The first one was stated by Star from the Hot 97 Star and Bucwild Morning Show, and Star went to the NBC studios in NYC to boycott J-HO being on the Today show b/c of this statement. With the second one, I also heard that on the radio on the Doug Banks Morning Show and another show on the same station. My sister was listening to the other show at home and she informed me about it when I got home from school.

I don't think that stipulation will hold up in court. Too many courts have ruled that ties to both parents are in the best interests of a child.

I LIKE Ben affleck. He seems like a really nice and funny guy, even if he is BY NO MEANS anybody's sexiest anything.

I can't see him being with someone who was a wacked out prima donna because he comes off as really genuine and funny. Granted he is an actor and all, but he ain't that good to start with so I doubt he could be putting up that good of a front, lol.

Who knows what is true? Who knows what is a big fat lie? I don't know how the two of them mesh at all (from Gwenny to J Lo is a streeeeeeeeetch, and I am not saying that because I like Gweneth Paltrow at all. Ick.) but they seeeeeem happy so I won't knock it.

I was just coming in to say the same thing! This interview is WACK!!! They are too busy laughing and falling all over one another to talk about anything. This interview is mostly about Jennifer. Ben is kind of bootleg in this interview.

I mean, it just seems like a Gigli promo show. I've seen so many clips that I don't need to see the film. Everything that they are saying is stuff that I can read in magazines. I wonder if the interview would be better if there was a more charismatic interviewer. They need someone to dig the story out of them. This guy is barely scratching the surface.

I have been flipping back and forth... I didn't know Halle turned down Gigli. The interviewer told J-lo that she should thank Halle for turning down the role, which lead to her meeting Ben. J-lo was like..."oh yeah, I should send her a note..." :rolleyes:

I feel like J.Lo has built an empire on mediocrity. She is mediocre at just about everything, but seems to have taken advantage of opportunities to get ahead. For that, I do give her some props.

However, I felt sorry for Ben in this interview. Half the time she literally jumped right in front of him to say something, and even cut him off a bunch of times. And the falling all over herself laughing at everything was just too much. :rolleyes:

I give this relationship until the second Ben-Jen movie comes out.

She is one of the girls that I've watched evolve who truly pays attention to the way she puts herself together. I think that Black women with "big asses" would have gotten more attention if they were marketed to the masses the same way Jennifer Lopez has been. Perhaps if more of the people who were trying to appeal to the masses were willing to learn another language so that they can be marketed to another country, they may have had a portion of the success that Jennifer Lopez has seen. What language did Jennifer Lopez learn simply to benefit her career? She's from New York so what is the other country that she is solely targeting? :confused: Most stars in the US eventually find success in other countries as well.

I agree that she can dance, she's attractice, and her acting is usually pretty decent, but she can sing about as well as a three year old learning the alphabet. :eek:

Ok i agree with most everybody the interveiw was boring. However, has any one noticed that these stars only give these tell all interveiws when they hava movie, album, TV show coming out.
IE. Whitney and Bobby tell all- her album was set to drop
Lisa Marie Pressley tell all- her album was set to drop
Justin Timberlake tell all- album about to drop
Cher tell all- concert tour about to end
and now Ben and Jen - Gili is about to come out
need i say more

These interveiws is not about telling a damm thing its a promotion tool pure and simple. Which is why after five minutes i turned to watch "Proud Family" cause i have no intention to go see Ben and Jen's movie.

Well you know that's why they had to push the wedding back because Ben said he wasn't signing the pre-nup. That he felt if she truely loved him they didn't need a pre-nup. Which I think is true she needs to get over herself for real. She's not all that, she is being sued by everybody and they momma, and the latest stuff she's been coming out with hasn't been worth the time or money. Oh yeah another thing how are you going to be Jenny from the block and you shooting your video in Beverly Hills and showing your man kissing your A@# on national t.v. DId you hear about how she tried to act with jamie foxx when he spoke to her. Chick trying to act too good. I mean let's be real if it hadn't been for puffy she would have no first album after all he did produce her?

There are a ton of people who are prettier than Halle Berry, but she is the one who gets all of the hype. There are many people who are more talented than Julia Roberts, but she is the one with the tag of America's Sweetheart. I don't see the hype of Cameron Diaz or Angelina Jolie either. There is something about all of these people that makes them what they are. If the people who are more talented and prettier than Jennifer Lopez would get some representation, then perhaps those girls who are twice as pretty can be thrust into the forefront as well.

2)Personality: Hmmm...I do not think she is as genuine as she thinks she is. Examples: (1)Has said she doesn't want to be called J-lo because the name has been overpopularized (probably masking the success and popularity she thinks should be attached to Jennifer Lopez) and every time her mom thinks she's having a "diva" tirade says something in the area of "Oh, sorry J-lo." or "That must be a J-lo thing."(2) Has said "I'm just Jenny from the block" and "I'm real." The sad thing about these two statements is I think she actually believes them. J-Lo honey, the Papparazzi wouldn't follow you if you were just Jenny from the block. I don't approve of the usage of the ni**a word in any context, by any person. However, as far as Jennifer saying it, there are a LOT of Latinos and Caribbean people that use that term the same way that Blacks do. When I was in Miami recently, I heard that word a lot amongst the Puerto Ricans and Domincans. So, maybe they have claimed it to be their own as well and she was just trying to relate to her own people, bot us...Just a thought

Remember, many Puerto Ricans and most Dominicans have African genetic material (see the Blacks and Latinos thread in this forum). I also don't use that word or condone it. But it wouldn't be an issue, perhaps, if our rappers and those who can influence younger people would stop using it.

NEW YORK - Ben Affleck (news) and Jennifer Lopez (news) are getting married Sunday at the Four Seasons Biltmore Hotel in Santa Barbara, Calif., according to the mother of another woman who's getting married there the same day.

"It will be at the hotel," Vivian Terhark of Spooner, Wis., told ABC News Radio. Terhark said she knows this because guests at her daughter Julie Ann's wedding are being told to carry their invitations at all times to avoid being mistaken as crashers at the celebrity nuptials.

"As the mother of the bride, I had to hand-carry my invitation because of security purposes," Terhark told ABC.

Affleck, Lopez and their publicists have refused to comment on their plans. So has the oceanside Four Seasons hotel, where deluxe rooms go for up to $2,000 a night.

This will be the third wedding for Lopez, 33, and the first for Affleck, 31, who met while filming this summer's infamous bomb "Gigli."

Entertainment Tonight has broken the news that the JENNIFER LOPEZ/BEN AFFLECK wedding has been postponed.

Three sources have confirmed the stunning news to ET. Apparently, Ben and Jen felt that too many details of the ceremony had been uncovered by the media. Despite the couple's effort to keep the wedding under wraps, fine points of the celebration, including the location of the vows and the reception, began to leak at a break-neck pace. And hotel rooms in and around the usually quiet seaside town of Santa Barbara, CA, were sold-out as the media moved in.

About 400 guests had been invited by phone and were told to be in Los Angeles on Saturday. The plan was only then would the invitees be told where to go for Saturday's rehearsal dinner and Sunday's nuptials. Today, the guests received a phone call telling them not to come to Los Angeles, the wedding is off.

The quaint Spanish-style stucco church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Montecito was said to be where the two stars exchanged their vows. Then guests were then rumored to move to the multi-million dollar estate, "Sotto Il Monte," for the reception. BRUCE WILLIS, JACK NICHOLSON, CHRISTIAN SLATER and his wife RYAN HADDON were reportedly among those invited to the celebrity wedding of the year.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, who just days ago were planning their weekend wedding, have split up, sources close to the couple tell PEOPLE.

The break-up comes in the wake of their decision Wednesday to postpone their Sunday wedding in Montecito, Calif., before as many as 400 guests. The couple blamed the delay on excessive media attention surrounding the event, but reports persisted that Affleck was having second thoughts about the nuptials. A PEOPLE source says it was Affleck who initiated the split.

While it was unclear whether the separation was permanent, Lopez was "devastated," according to one friend. The star was in tears, sources said, on Wednesday as she called guests telling them of the wedding's postponement.

Lopez, accompanied by friends and a bodyguard, went for a very public jog and swim -- at one point changing into a bathing suit behind a phalanx of towel-bearing guards -- Saturday afternoon along Miami's South Beach, not far from her 11-bedroom house in Miami Beach, where she flew solo on Friday from Los Angeles. Affleck was believed to still be in Los Angeles, though some reports had him heading to Las Vegas for tonight's Shane Mosely-Oscar De La Hoya fight.

The split caps a tumultuous summer for the couple, whose romance became public in July 2002 just days after she divorced Cris Judd. They have endured brutal reviews for their performances in the film "Gigli," while tabloid reports have accused Affleck of misbehaving with strippers during a late-night visit to a Vancouver nightclub (reports he vehemently denied). Lopez publicly stuck by her fiancee ("for me, it wasn't an issue," she told W magazine), and plans continued apace for their wedding -- his first, her third.

Ken Sunshine, Affleck's spokesman, said he had no knowledge of a split. Lopez' spokesman Dan Klores said he believed the couple was still together, but had not spoken to Lopez in several days.

During their time together, the pair -- who met on the set of "Gigli" -- generated worldwide attention, costarring in a sexy music video for her song "Jenny from the Block" and purchasing each other extravagant gifts, including a Rolls-Royce, a Harry Winston bracelet of white and yellow diamonds and 6.1 carat pink diamond solitaire Affleck gave Lopez as an engagement ring. Nevertheless, they thought of themselves as working-class kids -- she from the Bronx, he from Boston -- who shared similar values. As a teetotaler, Lopez was also seen as healthy for Affleck, who is a recovering alcoholic.

The couple will be together again -- at least on screen. Their second costarring vehicle, "Jersey Girl," is set for release next year.

In its relentless (and often triumphant) quest to trump the competition, Us Weekly's next issue cites Affleck's penchant for gambling, the overwhelming hoopla over the massive planned wedding, and his mother as some of the reasons why the 31-year-old actor said no-no to J. An argument on Monday prompted Wednesday's postponement of the wedding, scheduled for this past Sunday, the article claims. Although it's uncertain what Affleck and Lopez were fighting about, sources say that the spat served as the last straw in their 21-month relationship (see "Ben and J. Lo Broken Up?").

The magazine also claims Affleck spent Friday at the Hustler Casino in Gardena, California, an establishment owned by pornographer Larry Flynt. Witnesses told Us that he spent the night playing poker at a $10,000-minimum table, where he eventually left a loser.

All-night gambling episodes such as this and the one on September 1 at another Los Angeles-area casino, Us sources said, upset Lopez and may have caused an insurmountable rift in their romance.

Other instances that may have played a part in their breakup include Lopez's consultations with a psychic and Affleck's mother, Chris, urging him to call off the wedding so that he wouldn't forever live under constant media scrutiny. Already the fantastic circumstances surrounding the wedding (i.e. constant paparazzi surveillance and the need for decoy brides to throw them off), may have been too much to deal with.

The widely reported stripper incident that took place in Vancouver in July, which found Affleck partying all night and performing sex acts with strippers at a private party, was not a direct factor in the split. The magazine dismissed it as "speed bump," but one that may have all been part of Affleck's master plan. As Us points out, Affleck told Playboy in 1999 that he's prone to creating some incident in order to get out of a bad relationship.

While Affleck was up to his old tricks at the casino on Friday, all accounts put Lopez in Miami, where she was spotted by an Us spy the next day without her 6.1 carat pink diamond ring. She was out hitting the hotspots when the sun went down, but the apparent fun she was having only served to mask her broken heart.

"She wants to sit on the couch and cry," Lopez's friend told the magazine. "If she goes out, it's only because her girlfriends want to get her mind off the heartache."

The magazine does note that the breakup may not be permanent, but if it turns out that Lopez is in need of a shoulder to cry on, a familiar one is already available.

Diddy is with his old girlfriend -- and Ben got what he wanted. I think she thought that she was going to get a lot of publicity (which she did), but she is the one who looks all used up after giving him the milk for free. She disappointed and he is running at strip clubs with a makeover as the newly annointed sexiest man alive. I thought he was ugly before, but others think he is the cat's meow and now he is on every best-dressed list in the country. She got the raw end of the deal -- but that's what she gets. While she was working on that horrible movie, Ben put an ad in the paper talking about how wonderful she is and all of the above. Ben named her restaurant and at the opening of her restaurant (the one attended by her and her husband), he had one of his boys deliver her flowers. You lose 'em the way you get 'em . . . first cheating with Puff, then cheating with Ben -- then Ben out the door.

HINESVILLE, Ga. -- Just because Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez aren't doing much of anything doesn't mean they're not making news.

Hollywood's most overexposed couple set gossip pages aflame anew on Tuesday after they popped into a south Georgia courthouse near Affleck's Hampton Island home.

But apparently it was a gun license, not a marriage license, that the on-again, off-again super couple was seeking Monday.

``Affleck wanted to know where he could apply for a gun permit,'' said Liberty County Sheriff Don Martin, who mugged for a photo before sending the couple down the hall to the probate court.

The appearance has unleashed a horde of paparazzi and celebrity reporters onto the small town of Hinesville, where a court clerk verified Tuesday morning _ apparently not for the first time _ that the couple did not apply for a marriage license.

F. Barry Wilkes, the Liberty County clerk and court administrator, told Us Weekly magazine for its Oct. 6 issue that Affleck and Lopez requested an application for a marriage license several months ago, but added, ``If they had gotten married (already), I would know about it.''

Affleck's spokesman, Ken Sunshine, said only: ``We never comment on his personal life.''

The pair, whose recent film ``Gigli'' bombed after abysmal reviews, had planned to marry Sept. 14 before abruptly calling off the wedding. It would have been the third marriage for Lopez, 33, and the first for Affleck, 31.

About time she used some common sense. Ben Affleck was dissing her all over town. He called her a Ho on a talk show.

Engagement should be less than two years. I have this philosophy once a man propose to me and if I say yes. I want to be married within a year. Engagement is not "let's wait to see if we are right for each other" period. He should know that before he propose.

I'm real, real, real, real, REAL TIRED of hearing about Jen and Ben, Bennifer, or whatever the press calls them. J-Lo seems like a really needy person to me. I mean, in the last 5 years she has gone through 2 husbands, a fiance, and an on-again, off-again relationship with Puffy. She needs to sit her big butt down and focus on herself!!! :rolleyes: Maybe she won't continue to make such crappy movies like that hot mess Gigli!!

And Puffy, he needs to stay with Kim. I'm sick of all these men having kids and them leaving them and the mom to be with some other woman. :mad: And if he dumps Kim again, I hope she cleans him OUT!!! And Misa needs to fire her lawyer because whoever he is definitely not doing his job if her kid is getting $5,000 and his little brother is getting $30,000!!! :confused:
