. . . that it was safe to say no more 2Pac records to be released, you get proven wrong.

2Pac's newest CD will be out November 26 with tracks he recorded from 94-96.

I swear yall HE is the hardest working corpse I know. If he comes back after next September,   I will be a freaking mazed.

I thought I was the only one who had a friend that believed Tupac was alive and well in Cuba. I personally don't think that he is still alive but it's amazing how many extremely intelligent people do. I think it's all a bunch of horse puckey.

If he does come back, I hope he looks as good as he did when he left. Something about that nose just gets me going.

Not Compton. Maybe Africa or something? He's probably gotten a new "face". :o

James Brown was the hardest working man in showbiz, while 2Pac is the hardest working corpse (lmao @ that) in showbiz. He's even passed Elvis.

My younger sister (as GHETTO as she is) ALSO believes that Tupac is still alive. She tried to explain that Maccaveli (sp?) 7 stuff to me, but I wasn't hearing it. The man WAS deep and all of that, but he wasn't so deep that he could have predicted someone trying to kill him...or actually killing him, for that matter. UNLESS...God gave him insight into that. Now, I'm going to say this to all of those devoted Tupac fans who believe that he's still living...in Compton or Cuba. THE MAN IS D.E.A.D, OKAY?!!!!!! Let him rest in peace. I'll be waiting for September 13, 2003 also (God willing). And I can't wait to see, on that day, what these "believers" will say (or do) when Tupac DOESN'T show up on all of the news networks announcing his "resurrection". So, I'm going to finally say (in my BEST and most PRONOUNCED Southern accent), YALL BETTER LEAVE THAT DEAD MAN 'LONE!!!!!!. :D :D

Oh, Librasoul22, I was just repeating what Shani26 wrote in her post about this September 13, 2003 thing. That was the first time that I heard about this date also. I was never an advid Tupac fan (although I liked many of his songs). He was always just too "thuggish" and wild for my tastes. So, I don't know how this date relates to anything. I think that people may feel that this date has something to do with things that he referred to on his last CD BEFORE he died. Anyway, I was just saying that since this is supposed to be the day that Tupac "comes back", I'll be waiting and listening also because a whole "heep" of people are going to be disappointed when he doesn't make is debut. :) :)

Sept. 13th is the day 2Pac died. According to the theory, he should be resurrected exactly 7 years after the date of his death.

Sept 13, 2003 would be the 7th year anniversary of Tupac's death. The 7 day theory is based on when he got shot and 7 days later he dies. Because everything comes in 7's, he will come back to Earth reincarnated as MAKAVELI in the year 2003. That's the "theory."

Gina, I guess we were posting at the same time. :)

This one is a bit far fetched, but people really are nuts nowadays. We heard that a company named CloneAid Corporation is trying to get Tupac's baby teeth from his mother to actually make a clone of the rapper using his DNA. We even found a petition online supporting this crazy scheme:

I always thought Tupac might have been alive because in his song "God Bless the Dead,'' released in 1998, he says, ``Rest in peace, Biggie Smalls, referring the Notorious B.I.G., who died six months after him, among other questionable lyrics which lead me to think that just maybe, he is alive somewhere.

However, in this months issue of XXL Magazine, Afeni (Shakur) talks about raising Tupac and how she recently buried his ashes. She also talks about how at first she was upset at people believing he is still alive but she understands how his music has touched so many. Producers and Artists such as The Outlawz talk about what it was like to work with Tupac and how creative and hard working he was in the studio.

There is also the Tupac Center for the Arts which is currently being developed. (See below)

---> Help Build the Tupac Amaru Center for The Arts <---

We need your prayers, ideas, & financial support as we build the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for Arts (TASCA) to offer all types of artists (entertainers, educators, recreational, theatrical, etc) around the world a place to unite and network with one another. In addition, the Center will honor the work of Tupac and his enormous impact on the world. Visitors will be able to better understand the calling on Tupac's life through the Museum & Art Gallery.

The site is situated on a beautiful wooded 10 acre property complete with a onsite lake. The Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts will be located in Stone Mountain (suburban Atlanta), Georgia were most of his family has lived for nearly a decade and where Tupac owned a home shortly before his murder. The Center will be built in three phases.

PHASE 1- Visitor Center
Tupac Museum/Art Gallery, Learning Center, & Screening Room
The first phase of the Center will feature an interactive museum showcasing highlights from 2PAC's public life and never before released personal belongings, an art gallery, community meeting space, & classrooms. A screening room is planned as a part of the museum and will feature film premeries, video history on Tupac, & special taped messages from friends & supporters of Tupac. Phase One of the Center is slated for completion in 2003!

Phase 2- Tupac Theater
The Centerpiece will be a 300-400-seat theater.
The theater will be available for plays, productions, and film premiers among other things.

Phase 3- Artist Village & Peace Garden
Near the lake located on the property an area where artists from various genres (painters, sculptures, writers, etc) can develop pieces for display at the Tupac Museum/Art Gallery. A landscaped peace garden will be designed as a place of reflection and a way to honor victims of violence.

I have always liked Me and My girlfriend. I love when artists use metaphors in their music. I think that rhyme was the epitome of hard, rough, edgy and gangsta. Using Lil Kim I thought was quite ingenious and appropriate given her background.

Since I am a huge fan of Tupac & Scarface, I would have to say "Smile" is my favorite song. The video was deep, and it was cool how Scarface was able to put that song together after Tupac's death. If you did not know about Tupac's death (highly unlikely) you would have thought that they were actually in the studio recording the song together.

You'd be suprised how many people think he's overrated. He just wasn't all that to me lyrically. He was just okay. I think there are a lot more emcees out there who're more advanced lyrically.

Tupac Peace Garden Opens In June
Days before what would have been 2 Pac's 34th birthday, the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation (TASF) is hosting the Grand Opening of its Visitor Center and Peace Garden on June 11, 2005. This is the first phase of the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts (TASCA), in Stone Mountain, Georgia, that will eventually include a performing arts theater, museum, art gallery, community meeting space and classrooms. The Grand Opening ceremony, itself, will begin at 11:30 AM and will be held in the Center’s main parking lot at 5616 Memorial Drive. This momentous occasion will consist of welcoming remarks from a number of prominent community leaders, including special guest speaker Afeni Shakur. There will also be a special performance of Family Tree by “Pac’s Kids,” the students of the Summer Arts Camp, along with Celina Nixon, an original camp student and current coordinator of the camp.

It's interesting to see this thread I just got through watching "Tupac Resurection" (sp?) and man it was so deep. Pac was real no BS about it, sometimes in a poetic way, a sensitivve way, a thug way, an iggnorant way, and even a WTH way, but all those made him all the more real. I have a new respect for the life he led. I truly believe he wanted to see his people and community so much better. I think he would have matured into a man with som much to say. :(

I know it sounds crazy to some people, but the deaths of TuPac and Biggie are two monumental events in our generation. A lot of us know exactly what we were doing and where we were when we got the news. It's not the Space Challenger or the death of a JFK or even 9/11, but those deaths spoke to thousands, if not millions, of people.

Any more people still remember what they were doing 10 years ago today?
