OMG, a woman standing next to me at the Texas State Fair one year got shot. Just right there in front of everyone--by a drunk.

:(

That is just a not cool that people who can't control themselves when they are drunk mess such a great thing like the State Fair up for everyone

Ya know, in my 20 years (21 in 3 weeks) I have never been to Dallas! I have a friend who goes to school at Austin College in Sherman, about an hour north of Dallas. I keep saying I am going to go up and visit, but I haven't made it yet. Betcha can guess I won't be going to the State Fair of Texas.

Carnation,
Not to make light of the story, but why doesn't that surprise me?!?!

eh, i WOULD go, but A&M has a home football game this weekend.

Seeing as how i plan my weekend activities around Aggie Football, i'm going to have to miss it. Although taking into account our current offensive struggles, it'd probably be more fun to watch OU and t.u. slug it out.

Y'all that go, have a lot of fun. That being said, Boomer Sooner!!

Hey, it surprised me--it happened so fast! This drunk pushed her way up to the fron of a booth and the lady there said politely, "Sorry, you'll have to wait in line," and the drunk woman just pulled out a gun and shot her right on the spot.

yikes.. that's crazy.

on the news the other day they said they were going to be searching any and every kind of bag and they might even have those lil metal detectors like the airlines use.

i hope nothing tragic like that happens

i guess i'm the only GC'er who's planning to go :p

I remember last year at OU-TX they were pretty tight on security. It was less than a month after 9-11 so pretty understandable. I'm just hoping that Al-Queda doesn't care about football:D

Went last year while I was at UNT, if your from texas and a good ole boy or girl, for sure go!!!, it's awesome there are people from everywhere. Went and saw lifehouse last year, but I don't remember to much of it because I was a bit intoxicated. Going for sure this year, already saw Pat Green in August so I'm a bit complacent. Roger Creager is the man, loved his show when I saw him a while back. For anyone outside of Texas..go you'll have a dandy old time.

Aww, c'mon Jenn, you can't fault me, i'm an Aggie, hatred of the 'sips has been drilled into me since i was a youngun.

Plus, Maroon is closer to Crimson than to burnt orange(what a horrid color, bleeeach :( )

I saw Pat in Acuna over July 4th with a big contingent of my bros...definatlely one of the best shows i've seen. I still haven't seen Roger though, he comes to CS a lot and i need to make it to one of his shows.
