Nasty is an understatement. The new Blue Pepsi is supposed to be some berry flavor, but it's only an after-taste! They should have stuck with the original. You know the saying, if it aint broke, dont fix it!

I've had it and that is the worst tasting soda.:p Ewwww!!! It reminded me of those old $1.00 Chek sodas and Big 60 cookies I would have for refreshments after church while growing up.

:) This is funny to me. I don't know if it is a southern thing because I am in Memphis, TN but I have been drinking Peach flavored Slice for years. I love it. Now that Blue Pepsi and Vanilla Coke, well I am not touching that stuff.:(

So I guess I'm the only one who likes Pepsi Blue? It's not that I love it or anything, but it wasn't bad. My son absolutely loves it.
Vanilla Coke, on the other hand, is just a hyped up Cream Soda. That's just my opinion.

HC I love the Big 60 cookies? I just love them but I can never eat them all before they go stale.
I haven't tried the blue pepsi because it just looks nasty. Pepsi is always thinking of something new that is nasty. If you have fifteen different flavors of Pepsi, and none of them are hits, then why not just stick with the original. That's why I like Coke better, there isn't all of that funny bidness to deal with.

Blue pepsi is nasty.
the after taste makes me want to drink some water.
(it reminds of a fizzed out alkaseltzer)
and regular pepsi, is just a flat coke to me.;)

Does anyone else remember Apple Crush? I don't know if Greenville was a test market or something, but nobody else has heard of it. It came out about 15-17 years ago, but wasn't around for long.
It was the BEST (soda, pop, soda pop) out!

Pepsi Blue was OK, but that's something I'll only get when it's on sale! (Like buy one get one free or 2 for $1.00)
I had a coupon for a free Vanilla Coke and it was all right too. Again, that's only something I'll buy on sale or use a coupon for; it's not something I'll go out of my way to buy.
Has anyone had the Red Fusion Dr. Pepper? Maybe it's just the fact that it's RED :) There's no big deal about it, it's just red Dr. Pepper. It's still good, though.

I never heard of Apple Crush, but really liked Apple Slice. I was not at all pleased when they stopped making it. I even had folks bringing me back various kinds of apple sodas from South/Central American countries to try to compensate. :(

Yes, the Blue Pepsi has to be almost frozen (so it can be slushy-like!) to really enjoy. The Vanilla Coke just has to be cold. :)

...that will put the other gimmicky sodas to shame.
In 1988 there was a Hubba Bubba (as in the no-stick bubble gum) bubble gum flavored soda pop.
It was truly original in taste, but it wasn't something I would bust my butt to buy and drink. Needless to say, it didn't last long.
BTW, I LOVE Vanilla Coke, especially with Cruzan Banana Rum. It is the BOMB!!

Today I went to Bi-LO (grocery store) and saw a 2 liter of Orange Mt. Dew for 89 CENTS!! So I picked it up. I also saw the Tropical Sprite Remix but decided to pass on it.
Orange Mt. Dew takes the traditional orange pop and kicks it up 2 more notches. :D

Nelly bottles Pimp Juice
Britney Spears might swig Red Bull, but rapper Nelly prefers Pimp Juice, now no longer just track No. 6 on his Nellyville CD. It's a non-carbonated energy drink crammed with vitamins C, B-5. B-6 and B-12, as well as riboflavin, niacin and the amino acid taurine.
The 140-calorie Pimp Juice, which retails for $1.99, hits stores nationwide in September. Nelly is marketing the drink with a partner.

WHOSE GOT THE (PIMP) JUICE? Better not answer that unless you wanna get boycotted.
(Sep. 9, 2003) *After reading about Nelly's Pimp Juice you really thought that it was gonna be all good? Did you really believe that no one was going to protest the situation? Yeah, we didn't think you were that naive.
This morning at 10 (West Coast time) a coalition of black organizations are stepping up to the task. Led by activist Najee Ali, the coalition is set to launch a national boycott against the energy drink and the stores that carry it.
"Nelly is selling out because he only cares about making money, just like pimps and drug pushers. We intend to chase Nelly's Pimp Juice out the black community," stated Ali, National director of Project Islamic Hope.
The press conference/boycott will be staged at The Liquor Bank, 3600 Stocker Blvd. (Crenshaw & Stocker)

Najee Ali is an interesting cat. A few years ago, I saw a story about him and his efforts to keep the Los Angeles black upper-middle-class and middle-class from leaving the Crenshaw area. The Liquor Bank is at the foot of the Baldwin Hills/View Park area, BTW.
