Does anyone know what is going on in charlottesville, and why did they have to send out a letter to all alumni inviting them to vote for directors?

There was a one-page letter, not even on KS stationary, sent to a run-of-the-maill alum. I think it was from a "special master" or something, which implied the vote was to settle some corp. dispute.
