Why is it that Heaven must be PINK AND GREEN?.....

One day an SGRHO arrived in heaven and God greeted her at the gate and welcomed her into her new home. God led her to a blue track home with a gold roof that was surrounded by pretty poodles. The SGRHO knew she was in heaven and was so pleased.

The next day a ZETA arrived in heaven and God greeted her at the gate to take her new home. He brought her to a cute white ranch stylehome with a blue roof that had doves flying all around and even stained glass pictures of doves in the windows. The ZETA loved it and thanked God and went in to enjoy her new home.

The next day a Delta arrived in heaven and God greeted her and took her to her cream mansion with a crimson roof. There were beautiful elegant elephants roaming around the yard and the Delta loved it!

Then the Delta looked up the mountain and saw sitting on a its peak the most beautiful palace she had ever seen! This PINK palace had a GREEN roof and running beautifully up the palace was lush Ivy. In the driveway GREEN Mercedes and BMW`s with PINK leather interior were parked. ALPHA KAPPA ALPHA was elaborately written across the front of the palace. The Delta got all steamy and shouted, "WHY DO THE AKAS" have that huge palace!!That`s not fair. God turned to her and said, "Sister girl, that`s MY house"!! Skeeeeee-Weeeeeee!

We have a couple of items in the new Ivy Leaf. One of our chapter sorors who is a member of a national committee wrote the article on page 30.

Within the Social Settings, there's an article on our deb ball. I'm very proud of it.;) :D

Today was the first day that I encountered the sisterly bond that is so prominent in Alpha Kappa Alpha.

I go friend of mine works with a girl who is a soror. We had never met until today. Three weeks ago she bought me a sash for graduation on May 1. I couldnt wear it at commencement but I did put it on afterwards.

Today she and I met. She is so sweet. She gave me a hug and said "Call me if you need anything. I dont care what is. I could be just to talk or you need toilet paper. You call me first." Then she said she had a gift for me.

She is giving me a piece of Ivy that has been in her family for over 70 years. I almost started crying because that was so sweet. This goes to show that the bond of Alpha Kappa Alpha women is eternal and unbreakable.

Just wanted to share my thought. If anyone else has encountered such, please share your story.....
