Hey everyone!
I'm looking for web sites (particularly GLO web sites) that utilize great design/layout techniques.
While our national web site has all of the essential components and information, I would like to eventually overhaul the design to be:
more visually appealing
easier to navigate
more compact (meaning that you can find links to all of the essentials while viewing the 1st page)
a little more "hip", or cutting edge (this is the least of my priorities)
If you want to see what we have now:
phibeta.com (http://www.phibeta.com)
So go ahead... post your links to any web sites that you find especially magnificent!
And in case you're wondering, I am slowly taking over the maintenance of our national web sire.

Hey,
I'm looking for the same thing too! I'm the National Webmistress for my sorority and I'm currently doing our national site. I've been working on it for a while and so far, I like what I have, but I am not sure if it's what I want it to be or not. If you'd like to see what we have so far, just email me (I don't want it to go public yet cuz it's not done. But I'll show a few people http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif )
Below is the link my chapter's site if you wanna check that out. I'm going to be doing that over too in July.

Maybe you like this - it is my chapters webpage. It is in English and German but I would try the German version, too, because it has much more stuff on it and if you are just interested in getting design ideas and how it could look like, language shouldn't really matter.
www.kdstv-bodensee.de (http://www.kdstv-bodensee.de)
and then there should be a thread around with with some very nice flash chapter homepages with beautiful design

Great site! When it opened and that German chant-song was playing I had a flashback to my 2cnd night in Konstanz. We (the group I was traveling with) had just finished a concert and went out with our host families to a place called the "Spanishe Bar". We sang a few German drinking songs, although I don't recall them now (it's been about 7 years).
I also need to brush up on my German http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif.
Thank you so much.
BTW that first song that you heard, "Gaudeamus igitur" (latin), is a very old student song, that we frequently sing. They just played it here at Cornell at the commencement ceremony when the president of the university walked in - I loved it!!
We have tons of old songs, some written by Goethe and Schiller, that we still sing.
Soon, more will be up on the site to listen to.
