I have n't a clue why the link did not work for you. It worked fine when I clicked it. You might want to try a search on Altavista.com. Maybe, there are a few other sites like plauder that may be easier to access.

if you are using plauder.de site
you find out the url (address) of the smiley (usually done my simply clicking on it-- the address will show up on the bottom of the screen) then cut and paste the url (if it has the [img] great which it usually does, but if it doesn't you'll have to click on the img button and insert the address in the box)

Click on the smilie you want. The url will appear as a link at the bottom of your screen. You can either type that url in manually into a post or you can copy the url and paste it into your message. The picture will come up automatically when your message is posted. Hope that helped!

Instructions just for Tom so he can use the neat smilies:
1. go to www.plaudersmilies.com
2. I know the damn site is in German, but basicly the "Smiley-Rubriken" are the types of smilies there are. You see the 12 different types there are.
3. Say you want to choose from the "sad smiley" menu. Click on the sad blue smiley. It should take you to a new page.
4. Pick a smiley that you would like to post. For example sake, I will choose the first one, the green weird one. See it?
5. I will click once on it.
6. You will see something in the "UBB-Code:" box. It will already be blue cause it is highlighted.
7. Take your pointer and point right on top of the blue address that looks like this: img]http://www.plauder-smilies.de/crying.gif[/img and right click on it and select copy
8. Then when you are posting, you paste this address into your message.
