tar on car-help how do I get it off

Does anyone have a sure fire product to get tar and paint off a car (the type of paint they use for the center stripes)? Please help it is driving (no pun intended) me nuts.

Tar Remover from your local Napa store....made especially for removing tar.

I'd probably try the guy's suggestions, but I've also used a simple bug remover spray. You let it set on the bugs/tar and then scrub like crazy. It worked on my car...but the only reason I used it on the tar was because it was readily available at home. Good luck...tar sucks!

Thanks for the suggestions. I am not sure if we have a "Napa store" here but will find out. I have tried Goof Off which I think is similar to what Leslie suggested and it did not work very well but maybe the bug remover will work.

Napa is similar to an AutoZone....its just a major chain Auto Store. Actually, you can probably get Tar Remover from Wal-Mart. Even my granddaddy heard of Wal-Mart, and hes from Alabamy!

I haven't had a chance to try anything yet b/c I have to work 5 overnights and will not have time to go to Autozone until next week-but I will let ya'll know!
