Pittsburgh KD AA

I'm moving to the 'burgh right after graduation this spring, so I want to immediately be active with the AA there. I have the address for the contact sister, but I wanted to check out GC and see if there are any members on here. I'm curious to know a little more about the group before I dive in.

In general, are there a lot of "just graduateds" in the AAs? Although I have no problem joining the group with older alum, I'd really love if there were some younger sisters involved too! When I get the city, I'm not going to know anyone to hang out...and who better to chill with than a sister? :)

Well, all AAs are different.

It is a good idea to contact them and go to a meet and greet. That way you can feel if you like the group and feel comfy.

Large areas sometimes have more than one...like night groups and day groups for different age ranges.

If there IS an AA in Pittsburgh, I know a girl who is graduating now (Spring 02) who will definitely be a member...and if there isnt an AA, she is in the process of starting one up.

i'm the girl Annie was talking about.... I just graduated undergrad at Pitt and am starting law school in the fall.
Pittsburgh's AA is dormant, i think mainly because of lack of someone to take on the leadership.

I am also a member of Sigma Xi, MoxieGrrl's chapter, which has gone dormant. I am definitely interested in being involved with the Pittsburgh AA next year, so if i can do anything to help out, let me know!

hey...ditto that from me (i'm also an initiate of sigma xi chapter--rest in peace...) i would really like to get involved and help other chapters so that they don't ever have to go through what we did.
