How do I use this??

I'm still confused on how to use this thing. Sometimes I'm able to type messages and other times I'm not. Any suggestions?

I wish using this thing was as easy as instant message or something. Glad to see another Delta Sig on this site. How large is your chapter? What do you guys do for socials? Just wanted to exchange some ideas on socials since I'm on the social committee this semester.....
