So, you all know I was miserable in my job but guess what? They decided to lay myself and 4 others in my company off today. So, as of today, I am unemployed. Truthfully, I am fine with it because I hated my job but damn--I really wanted to have another job or SOMETHING to go to before I left this one. So, my wonderful GC people--think happy thoughts for me today. I get to go to Georgia State today and talk about my financial aide package for grad school--think it can start TODAY??

It will all work out. At least it's laid off and not fired! Are you going to file for unemployment? That should help fo a little while.

That's awful, good luck in finding something you like. I work in a garbage restaurant as well but wouldn't have a dime to pay my basic needs if i left. Good luck in finding a job you enjoy!

Looks like everywhere is laying off...

"Sesame Street Workshop announced this week that they are laying off 60 workers. At a brief press conference, a spokesperson for the company stated, "Sixty! 65 workers! Ah ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha!" News of the firings were brought to the employees by the letters "F" and "U"."

garbage as usual...my boss is a complete idiot, he just rehired some guy who was fired a few years back but doesn't remember canning him :rolleyes:
