Hi all, I'm an alumn from the Alpha Iota chapter in the Zeta B province. When I graduated, there was something called Life Dues (about 100 something) to be an alum for life. What happened to that? Do they still offer that option?

Also, anyone thought about turning their badge into a ring?

We can't do that anymore; I'm not sure why. You have to pay annual dues to National Headquarters.

I don't think we can turn our badges into rings, probably because that would look too much like the Ring of Excellence. It also says something about not turning your badge into a charm in the member manual.

I thought if you paid like.. 10 years of dues within a certain number of years, you had life membership still.

A number of years back when collegiate members graduated in good standing they could pay (circa) $125 and remain an active member of the NAA without paying yearly NAA dues ever again.

Lifetime dues were rescinded some time after 2006. An explanation was never given to members who had paid lifetime dues, they just received a bill for the yearly fee. And, have had to continue to pay the yearly fee to remain active in the NAA even though they did purchase the lifetime membership.

FYI-NAA dues were increased last year from $25/yr to $35/yr.
