Hi,

There is another thread on this that you might want to search and check out.

In a nutshell, though, many fraternity rituals borrow heavily from the Masonic movement because many of the founders of the early fraternities were already Masons.

There are very few actual ties in this day and age, if any.

You know i don't really know a lot about the masons, but i have a similar question on the topic of the skull and bones society, that is that they recruite (apparently) greeks in thier 4th year, now i thought you could only be a part of one organization?

There was a topic posted a while ago about the Skulls organization. Please do a search on that topic and I'm sure you'll find that information over there.
