Just a bit of good news here. I was just elected as Secretary to the SA Area Alumni Association for my fraternity. I am pretty excited. I am looking forward to serving as an alumni in an official role for the first time. We have a lot of work ahead of us, but it should be rewarding.

Thanks everyone for their kind words. I realize I have a huge task ahead of me and its already started. The President of the undergrads apparently already had plans for the $$ in the Alum Fund. Lets say he was a bit dissapointed when we told him NO, he could not use it to pay for formal, just to go out on a bang. That it was seed $$ for housing needs. He also wasnt real pleased that I am on the board. (We have a long history of not getting along, and the worst part, is that he's my little brother in the chap :rolleyes: ) anyway, he told me that on the Alum board isnt where "he wanted me." I told him where I wanted him. UP HIS OWN ARSE. So he want pleased. I have the complete and total support of the alums and other board members. So I dont care what he has to say. He can bring it up at our next meeting.

Anyway I am really excited about this opportunity, and thanks everyone for their kind words of encouragement.

Ya'lls all good people (even ya'll from up north). ;)
