Anybody watching this? These nutbags are more maladjusted than any Real Housewife.

I got sucked into the 'regular' Top Chef, so I'm trying everything in my power to stay away from this one lol

I'm trying to get into it, but so far I don't like it nearly as much as the regular Top Chef - not sure if I'll stick with it or not.

I agree with you AlisonMK- I like the normal one better. For whatever reason I'm having a harder time staying interested- not sure if it's the over-the-top characters or the fact that desserts just arent' as fun to watch. Fun to eat, but less action in the kitchen to make them happen. And I don't feel like I'm learning any interesting tips/ideas to try at home like I do from Top Chef.

Agree .. .I've tried to watch .. but these nut jobs are just to off the wall for me. I'd really like for there to be more this is how to make something or tips or techniques then all the crying and whining and complaining going on.

Pastry chefs just seem to have that nutbag reputation.

The problem is, a whole bunch of nutbags don't make for compelling tv. You need grounded/rational/snarky characters to serve as their foils. TCJD doesn't have it, because anyone on that show with an ounce of common sense is too boring.

we are not all nutjobs...but a little OCD...I will admit to that....

I love it because I love desserts, but they cast way too many drama queen weirdos. I just want to see people make yummy things, not people have nervous breakdowns.
