Cornell's Pi Beta Phi chapter supposedly has a "style manual." Read the article on yahoo here. (http://shine.yahoo.com/channel/beauty/mean-girl-fashion-and-beauty-rules-at-cornell-sorority-no-mustaches-or-muffin-tops-636982/)

We already have a thread about this. It's the clothing guidelines for recruitment, not for everyday.

My co-worker just told me about the article and my quick GC search didn't yield anything - sorry!

That article's completely wrong. It's a list for what the SISTERS are to wear during rush, not pledges. (How can there even be pledges during rush week?) Can someone who has a Yahoo account please point that out and get the article pulled?

I second that. It was one thing when this story first "broke" (if you can call it that) a few weeks ago and there was confusion about some of the facts. But since they're so behind the times, certainly someone at Yahoo has had time to fact-check something in the past couple of weeks. At this point, they're purposefully publishing lies.

I created a yahoo account to comment because I was so angered by the article and author's lack of knowledge on Greek life. I've been scrolling through many pages of the comments and LOTS of Greeks have commented. Their comments range from "my sorority wasn't like this" to "this is for RUSH, not pledges or what to wear around campus" to "every sorority has rush rules, we want to look presentable, get over it." My favorites are the lovely comments by non Greeks calling us sl*ts and wh*res and ripping Pi Phi to shreds.. ignorant people are the worst.
