Woman: [Shouts] “Burn the books!” [applause]
Man: “I don’t think you were serious about that, were you?”
Woman: “I am too.”
Man: “Burn all the books?!”
Woman: “The ones in college, those, those brainwashing books.”
Man: “[laughs] Brainwashing books?”
Woman: “Yes.”
Man: “Which ones are those?”
Woman: “Like, the evolution crap, and, yeah...”

That woman was planted there.
Have heard that on several news outlets........and yes, even ones that aren't completely biased like Fox News.

I don't know, he's painting with a rather broad brush there; he's essentially keying in on the idea that Rush and the like represent the majority of the Republican party. I would tweak that, only in that I think they only represent the most vocal members of the party.
Also, saying we were just as "crazy" 10 to 15 years ago again is overstating it.
Then again...wasn't Krugman critical of the President's economic policy? Or am I thinking of someone else?
