Sarah Palin on SNL Tonight!

She won't talk to the media, but she'll do SNL (a scripted show)... hmmm... I'm actually a bit interested in seeing Palin make fun of herself. Does she have a sense of humor? If so, she'll appear to be even more likeable! This may give McCain a few extra votes. I think it's a good move for the McCain camp.

I thought that the skit was hilarious, I was in shock to see Alec Baldwin and Sarah Palin arm-in-arm.

I thought the opening skit was pretty lame. Turned it off after that, but need to hunt down the Sarah Palin Rap they did later in the show.

Yeah, it was lame. I think SP tried to tone down her usual folksy, but Tina Fey is more Palin than Palin, it seems.

The rap is actually pretty funny. I think Seth Meyers is the hottness, though.

Amy shooting the moose was the high point of the rap for me. And I thought Sarah's "you betcha" at the end was perfect for making fun on her own folksiness.

I liked both the Palin skits, but my absolute favorite last night was the Mark Walberg one. I thought the original Walberg skit was just stupid, but last night made it worthwhile.

OMG! IT was sooo funny! I was falling on the floor when Sarah attempted to Raise the Roof! Gee, how old is that move? I could just imagine her kids being so embarrassed! I'll give her credit for staying on beat... I think she might be a dancer, she has some moves! lol. Honestly, in a weird kind of way... she earn a likable point with me! :rolleyes:

Oh... ok... I also cracked up when the First Dude came out! lol. HILARIOUS!

Really? Shoot I thought Palin was funnier than pretty much everyone on the SNL cast (except Fey and Poehler).

I don't know what has happened to SNL, but it is definitely not funny anymore.

I have to agree. She had a chance to really loosen up but she just seemed to choose not to. If she was trying to come off sarcastic, I don't think she pulled it off, she came off smug and like she was "above it all". I thoroughly enjoyed Mark Wahlberg's bit more than hers. (and I agree with whoever gave props to Amy for pulling off that rap -- being that pregnant didn't slow her down a bit!)
